CRICKET.
Sra, — In looking over your issue of today I notice a Raglan correspondent wishes to know whether m cricket a batsman knocking down his wicket m the act of making a run should be conbidered out or nofc, and although it is now some years since I played ciicket I think I remember a rule oi the Marylebone Cricket Club, to the effect that if a playor while playing a ball hits his wicket or knocks ihe bales off either with hia bat or body he is out. Thiß iB decidedly the case, and I do yob know of say recognised iaw or rule of cricket by which a batsman is otherwise out when hitting his wicket or knooking the bails off. The question h simply whether a batpman hits his wickeo Ac, while playiug at a ball, or d 063 it m making a iun.— I am, &c, T. S D.
