_ Sxb,— -In a late Issue of jour paper you publish Hie account sent io- you by Mr Seccorabo of Alexandra, of 'a monbter Sweedo turnip, iiowyl dare say it is interesting to that gentleman, io 'read of the monster m question,. but if your readers generally nre to be interested iri such matters, some little account of its growth, tho treatment .of the soil it was grown m, &C, should accompany the description. Itwbuld be intere.ting to have learned the previous cropping of the ground, lime of sowing, quantity of manure used,' &c: Then ibe account of the Alexandra vegetable monster would have carried with it, not merely cause for momentary wonderment, but useful information and instruction. r-I am, &c, A Settibb, Cambridge, May"7ih.
