THE MURDERER WINIATA. THE VERY LATEST.
We understand that the police authorities have received information that the murdeier Winiata has made in the direction of Waerenga, a settlement at the back of the Waikare Lake, where his father is known to be residing at present. Constables have been sent from Ngaruawahia to the supposed whereabouts of the miscreant, ami measures have l>cen taken to intercept Winiata from Hamilton along tho native tracks, which he might take from VVaeranga, leading to Te-Awa-Waikato and Moerangi. The latter route is considered to be tho most likely the murderer will try and thence, if not interrnpted, crossing the Mangawarra river, he could easily make for Miung.ikavva ranges, and so to the King Country without difficulty, where as certai-i as he arrives he will as certainly be given up to justice by the King natives to the Native Minister.
