(To the Editor of the Waikaio Times) Sir, — Some nppdle-^ nlnrin appears to be felt respecting the breaking out of scab in tins provihce If all the sheep in it »vere on one station, there might be some cau><e for it us it wonld girt* extra work for some tune. As all the sheep are in sin-ill flocks, scab could be easily cured, in fact after shearing I think all sheep should be clipped to clear them of ticks. The following is the quantity of tobacco used on several stations I w.is connected with in Australia : — For spotting, that is picking out scabby sheep and dressing the scabby spots, 2 gallons water to lib tobacco mixed with spirits o( tar. For dipping after spoiling— 4 gallons water, lib tobacco, 4'X flour of sulphur ; be sure and put the hoad under. With a goo I draining pan, four gallons will dip 16 sheep after shearing. S. Te Awamutu, Nov. 22, 1874.
