fTIHE RATEPAYERS of the Hamilton West Township -*- are hereby informed that the appointment of Mr Clarke has been cancelled by the Board, and that Mr John Knox has been appointed to that office. Mr Knox, on behalf of the Board, will call upon the Ratepayers, and fui msh those who may have paid their Rates to Mr Clarke with a receipt, and take back the one furnished by Mr Clarke, in order to ascertain the deficiency in his accounts (if any). Prospectus OF THE COLONIAL BANK OF NEW ZEALAND. Capital: £2,000,000, in 400,000 Shares of £5 each. To be called up as follows : Five Shillings on application ; 10s on allotment ; 5s two months after allotment ; 5s four months after allotment ; f)S six months after allotment ; which will amount to £300,000 paid-up Capital at the end of six months. No fmther call will be made for 12 months after the Bank is first opened in Dunedin, and future Call? will not exceed 5s per share, to be paid, if required, at intervals of not less than three months thereafter. WITH reference to the full prospectus hitherto published, it is now brought under the notice of the public that application for shares have been very freely made in other provinces, no less than some 65,000 having been applied for in Otago alone up to Ist June. It is intended to form a Local Committee from amongst the number of applicants here, for the jmrpose of allotting shares in this province and generally superintending the actions of the Company. The share list will close this month, and early application for shares should therefore be made, so as to arrange for formation of local committees without any delay; and a deputation of Provisional Directors from Dunedin will soon visit this piovmce for the puipose of co-operaiing with the local committee.
