WHEREAS, by Deed bearing date the 23rd day of May, 1874, the tribe Ngatipaea, of tho Hauraki or Thames District, agree to sell to Her Majesty Queen Victoria only the whole of their Lands adjacent to the Piako and Waihou rivers, and received a deposit of the sum of Two Hundred Pounds (£200) in consideration of such agreement. I hereby caution any person or persons whom it may concern that any dealings with such lands other than by tho Agents of the Crown will be invalid in consequence of the agieement hereinbefore mentioned.
