WEEK-END FIRES.
TAUMARUNUI RESIDENCE. TAUMARUNUI, To-Day. A seven-roomed house belonging to S. Bishara of Taumarunui was entirely consumed by fire on Saturday cevning about nine o’clock. The brigade was very promptly on the scene. The fire was apparently originated between the roof and the ceiling. The insurance on the house was £BOO, but the insurance on the furniture is unascertainablc. STORE BURNED. SUNDAY MORNING BLAZE. FEILDING, To-Day. The Makino store and dwelling-house owned by Mrs Jeff Ries and. occupied by Mcllroy, was completely. destroyed by fire at an early hour on Sunday morning. No person was on the promises at the time. The Cheltenham Dairy Co.’s big factory on the next section, had a narrow escape. The insurances are not available.
