A gentleman representing the Welsh colony which settled in Patagonia many years ago, and now numbering 4000, has arrived. By the steamer Opawa to make inquiries with a view to the whole colonv coming to Australia. He states that conditions in Patagonia have become so uncertain and uncongenial that the members of the colony wished to transfer their energies to another country. The colonists were specialists in irrigation, arid intended to put that knowledge to use in conjunction with dairying.
