the final Figures VICTORY RESTS WITH ANTIPROHIBITIONISTS. Majority of 26. The Issue Not Yet Settled, Press Association .—Telegraph.—Copyright. • Received November 8, 8.5 a.m. ■rt , '>■ BOSTON, November 7. The final figures for the elections in the State of Maine giye a majority of- 26 for the anti-Prohibitionists. Phis result does not, however, settle the issue of Prohibition or otherwise. It merely repeals the constitutional amendment of the Legislative enactment which provided for prohibi- : tion and , was passed before the constitutional amendment was passed, and therefore still exists. It can only be repealed . by a referendum vote, consequently the State remains Prohibitionist. * V Governor Plaistow decided on Monday to i accept;a correction of votes in two towns, thus reversing the previous result.
