Many features of the Glebe tragedy recall the Bauer murder at Melbourne four years ago. when a diamond merchant was Jailed in his office, and the diamonds were stolen. ' The police are still searching for the man who visited Trevaacus on Tuesday. No other clue has come to light. It is stated that faint, blood-stained finger-prints have been found on Trevascus’s door. The police are reticent. A POLICE THEORY. Received November 8. 9.35 a.m. SYDNEY, November 8. The police are of opinion that more than one was concerned in Travaseus’s murder. One theory is that deceased in purchasing old gold’ and precious metal unwittingly came into contact with thieves and plunderers, who on the strength of the knowledge gained in the course of business planned the crime.
