DEATH UNDER AN ANAESTHETIC
(Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, November 1. Frederick Brandon Wroughton, aged 15, a boarder at Christ’s College, died yesterday while under an anaesthetic. Wroughton met with an accident at the gymnasium, incurring a slight dislocation of the jaw, and this was being attended to when he collapsed. The deceased was perfectly healthy and organically sound, but the thymus gland was enlarged. The anaesthetic was a mixture of chloroform and ether. At the inquest a verdict was given accordingly.
