"WELLINGTON. The new Ministry will consist of the present members, with, perhaps, a Blight re-arraugement of portfolios. The Upper House seat will not be filled for a few days. It is not unlikely Mr Gisborne will agiin join, and represent the Ministry in the Legislative Council as Colonial Secretary. A seat is also said to be offered to the Hon Mr Stoke. The Post states that Brogden's immigrants per Lutterworth are the last that the firm will introduce, as the Government have not kept faith by giving them sufficient contracts to employ the 2000 able-bodied men whom thev undertook to introduce. They have accordingly telegraphed Home to cease sending immigrants. In all they have introduced 1291 men or 2173 souls. AUCKLAND. Mr John Williamson is canvassing the country districts for the Superintency. It is rumored that the Hon. James Williamson is also a candidate. The Waikato Times urges the extension of the Waikato railway to the coal mines. CHRISTCHURCH. Mr Murray Aynesley is spoken ofa3 a candidate for Lyttelton. DTJNEDIN. In Ryan's case the Crown set up a motive for the crime. Some highly sensational love correspondence between Mrs Farrell and Ryan was produced, and illicit intercourse between them proved.
