Caledonians have advanced to £155. By a boat accident four men were drowned. Fiji news reports that the captain of the Maria Deglia has been murdered by natives. H. V. Stevens, junr., a sharebroker, has levanted, leaving his wife and four children. He married another girl, whom he took away with him. His defalcations in scrip are heavy. Wellington, Sept. 14. A boy named James Dunn fell into a boiler at Eangatikei, and was scalded to death.
