A FALSE DECLARATION.
A JUVENILE BENEDICT. Received December 19,11 a.m. 1 Sydney, December 19. Kate Hayes and Hobert Henderson have been committed for trial for making a false declaration in connection with their marriage, The lad is only 17 years of age, and was in receipt of 5s per week as a saddler's apprentice. The motive of the girl in inducing him to marry her was apparently the fact that his father had settled £SOOO worth of property on his son and two daughters. The juvenile benedict expressed tho opinion that 5s weekly was sufficient to live well on, The bride, who is 21 years of age, paid the'expenses of the honeymoon. Adey, the best man, who displayed an inordinate desire to hasten the marriage, was also committed fori trial.
