THE WAKATIPU'S PASSENGER LIST.

Among the passengers by the Wakatipu, from Sydney, are—Mr Felson, one of the Railway Commissioners of N.S.W.; and Mr Branch's, the Commissioner of the Land Appeal Court of New South Wales, who aro both on a tour through New Zealand; Mr Pennefather, L.L.D., formerly Secretary to Sir Wm. Jorvois, and Editor of Murray's Guide Iu New Zealand, who is 011 a visit. He describes in his second edition the new routes opened up since the issue of the first Guide. Brigadier Hoskins, of the Salvation Army, Christohnrch, is also a passenger. He has been to Australia to interview General Booth on important matters.
The others of note are: -Mr 0. W. Hanby, of Sydney, who shortly assumes the editorship of the Nelson \Mail; Kerr, cyclist; Goodwin, one and three mile walker; and W. Cartwright, sprinter, who compete at tho Athletic gathering in Christchurch.
The vessel brings 136 bags of mails, 99G tons of cargo, and 1904 cases fruit.
For three days the vessel had no bearings owing to the fog, the passage being made by dead reckoning, and wheu land was first seen she was only half a mile off her usual coarse.
