WEDDING AT DALEFIELD
From Our Own Correspondent, Dai.efiemi, Thuisday, One of those very interesting •vonts which cause luch a flutter in a country district, was celebrated in the Dalefield Wesleyan Church yestorday afternoon, The contracting parties were Mr Herbert Knowles, third surviving son of Mr John Knowles. of Matarawa, to Mr Jessio Waterson, fourth daughter of Mr George Waterson, senr., o( Dalefield. Both tho young peopleare highly esteemed by tho residents of the district, and in consequenco the Church was crowded to witness the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. W. Ballachy, of Carterton. Mrs Georgo Gordon played the wedding march. The bride, who looked very charming in a dress of oream nun's veiling, with trimmings and hat to match, was attended by eight bridesmaids. Miss Waterson and Miss E. Waterson wore most becoming fawn dresses trimmed with brown velvot; Miss L. Waterson and Miss J. Arcus were attired in pretty white embroidered dresses; Misses A. and S, Bassett in tastefully-inado electric bine; Miss Knowles'looked very nice in a pretty white dress, as
also did Miss Ordisli in French grey. They wore hats to match and each carried a beautiful bouquet. Mr Albert Knowles acted as best man, The bride was given away by her father. The happy couple loft tho Church amidst showers of rice, and tho wedding party (about sixty in number) proceeded to tho residence of the brido's parents, where 1 the company were most hospitably entertained, The usual toasts were I duly honoured and responded to, and 1 altogether the affair was one of the happiest ever held at Dalefield. The young couple were the recipients of a large number of handsomo and useful presents. Mr J, Lewis, of Greytown, photographed tho wedding group.
