CASTLEPOINT ROAD BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. 1 A meeting of the Board was hold on Satuaday last. Presentr-the , Chairman and Messrs Elder, Langdon and Dazicll, ' The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, A letter from the County Clerk ] was read, conveying the thanks of the Council for the amount voted , towards tho maintenance of the i County roads. Messrs Cross, Hull and Cameron | waited on the Board with a view of . raising a loan to expend in forming another section of Mangapurupuru i Road, but it was found that the ] principal work_ lay in the Upper i Taueru Road District, and in consei quence it was decided to ask the J County Council to transfer their 1 properties into that district before raising the loan. The Clerk was directed to inform the County Engineer that of the " grants made, £SO was to bo spent in " repairs and metalling between Te ■ Nui and Messrs Langdon's homestead ; £SO between Black Swamp and Manawa Bridge ; £250 on the Mungapakoha-To Nui section; and , £SO on the TeNui-Whakataki section, as the Engineer may direct. ] Accounts amounting to £l7B lis t •Id wore passed for paymout, and the | meeting adjourned.
