Sir Robert Stout led tho stonowall which occurred over the Customs Reciprocity Bill, providing for a tariff treaty with South Australia. 11l tho early part of the evening the Ministerial party agreed to support the Bill, if it were re-introduced and the portion relating to Canada struck out. On the House re-assembling Sir Robert Stout, who had been jubilant over tho overthrow of one or two Ministerial measures, wasamazednnd disgtisled to find that the party was not only united but determined to

nndo some of the mischief performed by .scratch divisions. The Reciprocity Bill getting into Committee was the signal for a determined stonewall, which lasted till nearly throe hours after midnight. The Ministerialists appearing fresh and determined tho Opposition began to waver and finally offered to allow the measures in Committee topass without resistance, if the Government held over the Appropriation Bill till the afternoon. To this Ministers would not consent, and finally the Opposition collapsed.

The Reciprocity Bill, Truck Act Amendment Bill, and several other measures were then passed. The debate on the Appropriations will be taken after breakfast.
