ICA HOMESTEAD DESTROYED. NARROW ESCAPE, By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent. Te Nui, Saturday. Tea, the beautiful residence of the Rev. J. 0. Andrew, was burnt to the (ground, at two o'clock this morning. The inmates wore aroused by ono of the servants who alarmed the household. All had to run out in their night-dresses, as the lire had taken such a hold that there was not time to dress.

Nothing was saved; all the contents of the house being destroyed, The insurauce is unknown.

One girl had a very narrow escape from the flames.

The lire is supposed to have broken out in the kitchen.
