Tho Australia, which called in at Mercury Bay on her way from Auckland, brings nows of a curious affair, A party of men wore drinking at Mercury' Bay about a week ago, and left for their work in the country, One named Julius Anderson, a German, seemed ill, and was left on a side track by his companion about nine miles out, One of them returning fivo days afterwards found him dead where he was left. The result of the inquest was not known when the Australia left,
