From Our Own Correspondent. The Opaki Amateurs treated us 1 to another entertainment, in the 1 Bhape of "Cinderella," on Friday night last, in Mr A. McLeod's woolshed. Tho building was again wellfilled. It was quito a sight to seo lights coming in all directions across tho plain, all making for the play. The platform was splendidly got up with all kinds of bash scenery and well lighted, andthi performers in their tasteful dresses made a ' really pretty picture for the audiencs to gaze upon, Tho characters were 1 taken as follows:—The Proud Sisters: Miss Moran and Miss 1 L. Chamberlain; Cinderella: Miss M. Chamberlain ; Prince: Mr S. Tankersloy; Fairy: Miss A, Wyoth; Page: Miss J, Wyeth. Judging by 1 the applause they received, the per--1 formers were a great success, Miss 3 A, Wyeth waß almost perfection as " Fairy," but there was not rnuchio * choose between any of thom, all hak ' very good. Y" 3 After Cindorella was put through, " the following recitations and songs were gtoon and woll received:— Recitation, " Tho Road to Heaven," t by Mr G. Sykea; song, " Tho Golden 5 Shoro," S. Tankersley; recitation, s "Tho Culprit," Miss A, Wyeth; vocal duet, " Very Suspicious," j Mr S, Tankersloy and Miss j M. Chamberlain ; roading, " Widow 1 Cummisky," Miss J. Moran; ■ song, " Chiming Bolls," Mr S. J Tankersley; recitation, " A Pen,'' 1 Miss A. Wyoth; violin solo. Miss J. 1 Moran; ohorus, " Auld Lang Syno," I must not forget to mention that the' entorlainmont was very much on. livened by Miss J, Moron's performance on tho violin, this young, lady, being an exceptionally good musician. Hearty cheers for the performers for providing such a pleasant evening, were given by tho audience, and the plain was once again lit up in all directions by lanterns " homeward bound," Very welcome rain commenced I here early on Saturday morning, a]M tho farmers are happy, or should aft | for it will do lots for tho crops ana i grass.
