CRICKET At CARTERTON
From Our Own Correspondent. The annual meeting of the Carterton Tradesmen's Cricket Club, was hold last Friday. It was decided to open the season on the last Thursday in October. good suggestion has been irMB to secure t lie Oval on the Show Ground for the Carterton C.C. It would have to be enlarged and wire netted round the fence, so that sheep could be turned in to keep the trass eaten down. The Grand Stand in front of the Oval would permit of the games being witnessed in comfort by live or six hundred people.
