From Our Own Correspondent. The annual meeting of the Carterton Rifle Club was held on Thursday. The following officers were elected : s —President : W. C. Buchanan, I M.H.R.; Vice-presidents :H. R. Bunny, G. W. Deller, H. S, Izard, and N. Grace ; Captain : J. G. Oates; Vice-captain: R. Fail-brother; Secretary: J.L, Rces; Treasurer: C. H, Cormack; Auditor: J. Brown; Committee: Messrs Ayles, Uudson, Moore, J, B. Bairstow, A. Reynolds, A. King, W. McKonzio, J. E. Oates, and J. C. Reid. The opening day for the season w A«d for Thursday, 10th October, ■'. wits'a match Married v Single, ranges, at 500 and 600 yards, seven shots at each range.
