Wednesday. The verdict in the case P. Hiley i'. Wi Hutana, which was tried on Monday last, should have read nonsuited with costs.
TheannualmeetingofParishionerj of St. John's Church, was helJ in the Church last evening, the Eot. A, V, Grace in tho chair. The Treasurer reported a credit balance • of£4 osßd. Mr J. G. Cox and the Rev. T. Porrilt were re-elected Curate's Warden and Parishioners' Wardon respectively, Tho following were elected Vestrymen:—A. Matthows, W. Benton, W. Toogood, A. H. Knowles, H. J. Unwin, H. C. Smith, and 0. Kout-Johiiston. Mr Cox was olected Treasurer of the General Church Fund and Treasu|ar of the Vestry, Mr C. Keut-Johnsjfc being elected Secretary. It vras > 'resolved to hold a meeting of Parishionors on tho 30th insfc,, to decide whether the present Church shall be moved on to the now site or a luw edifice erected thereon. Votes of thanks wore passed to the Church wardens, tho organist, Miss M. Cundy, and to the late superintsndaut and the present superintendant of tho Sunday School.
