By lekgraph.—Otcit Correspondent. Pahiatua, Tuesday, Mr J. A. Kennedy, late Town Clerk, was presented with a large portrait and an illuminated address last evening by the members of the Pahiatua Band of which he was a founder. His son,Mr Harry Kennedy, was presented by the staff of the Pahiatua Branch of tho W.F.C.A., with a handsome writing desk, Tho annual meeting of tho Bush Rugby Union will be held here on Wednesday evening next,
Mr R. P. Greville has been appointed Engineer and Clerk to the Eketahuna Road Board at a salary of £275 per annum and private practice, Mr J, McKittrick lias been appointed acting-Postmaster for one month here, Mr Norton being on leave,
No big bags of game are reported, and native game is very scarce.
