good, although prices show no improvement. Potatoes still continue Recline in value; this to a great Wsnt is duo to the Wellington markets being glutted with Southern lines. Unless an outlet is found, prices must come down. Oafs remain at our last quotation, but good oaten sheaf chaff shows an Inclination to advance. Other kinds of

produce call for no special comment, Poultry has risen slightly •) above last week's sales, and eggs ■'' are now fetching good prices; butter is unchanged. Pigs of any description are almost unsaleable. Horses are in fair demand. Our

weekly horse bazaar at Masterton was well represented on Saturday! and all lines entered,withone exception, were sold, Our general sales in Carterton and Eketahuna have been exceptionally good. Our land department is still active and every leaseholdproperty put into our hands 6nds ready tenants. Our quotations are:— Butter 5d per lb; eggs Is Gd per dozen. Poultry-Fowls Is 9d to 2s 3d; ducks 3s 3d; turkeys 4s 9d to ss3d; «se, 4s 9d per pair. »rodnce-Oats Is 7d to Is lOd per bushel; oaten sheaf 2s to 2s 3d per bag.
