THE HALF-HOLIDAY QUESTION.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Gisborxe, Friday. At tho Magistrate's Court to-day, Messrs Dunlop, Lewis, and Adair, j three shop-keepers, were charged under the Shop Act, with opening their premises last Saturday. The points raised, wore the validity of tho Borough Council's resolution appointing Saturday, tho motion not having been in writing, and signed by the mover and seconder; also, whethor the Council had power of veto to revoke that resolution and appoint another day. This they have done, and Thursday has been very generally observed for the last two weeks.
The Magistrate reserved his decision,
