COMMERCIAL.
Messrs Simms and Mowlem's yards wero well filled yesterday, although, on account of the recent rains, the roads were in such a wet state, that several lots entered did not put in an appearance. There was a large attendance, but bidding was slow and uncertain, and many lots had to be passed in under the hammer, most of which, however, found buyers before closing the sale at the following prices : Sheep.—Fat ewes, ss; 2-tooth ewes, 3s to 3s 6d; 2-tooth wethers, 3s Wto 6s Gd; 4-tooth wethers, 7s to 7s (3d; lambs, Is 9d to 2s 9tl; culls, Is to 2s 3d.
Cattle.--Fat steers, small, £i 10s; dairy cows in calf, £3 to £3 10s; heifers jn calf, £3 10s. Pigs entered in' large numbers (eighty in all), baoon, medium, 20s to 255; porkers, 12s fid; breeding sows, 40s to 50s; weavers, 0s to 9s. Hacks.—Only a few came forward anil realised £7 to £B,
