SEVEN PERSONS BURNED TO DEATH.

Sydney, April 14. A tcu'iblo fatal lira occurred at Pai'kes, 261 miles West of Sydney, this morning. A largo tenement house occupied by a widow named Quiim and her family was discovered to bo on fire at an early hour. Mrs Quitm's brother and another man managed to escape with great, difficulty, but the other occupants of the house, consisting of Mrs Quinn and five children, whose ages range from seven months to ton years, were burnt to death, also a sister of Mrs Quinn, named Perry. All those burnt were apparently suffocated first by the smoke. It appeared as if escape was impossible to them, owing to several of the doors and windows being nailed up as a preventative against burglars.
