GREYTOWN NEWS.
(From Our Own Correspondent), Friday. A public presentation was made to Mr Black (late Postmaster here) in the Council Chambers, on Wednesday evening last, in tho shape of a gold watch and chain,. The Carte 1 . 1 - ton Prohibition League also waited upon him, and presented him with a silver teapot, silver spoons, and sugar tongs. Mrs Black was presented with a gold brooch, by the lady members of the Presbyterian Church.
The farewell social given by the! Wesleyan congregation aud friends to Mr and Mrs Wilkie and daughter last Tuesday in the Wesleyan Church passed off very pleasantly. Three large books were presented to Mr and Mrs Wilkie as a keopsake from the congregation. The new postmaster has not yet arrived. A relieving officer is now in charge for a few days.
