FOOTBALL.
HALF-HOLIDAY UNION. [BY DAMOCLES.] A meeting of delegates from th« various Thursday junior Clubs, was held at the Marquis of Normanby Hotel, Carterton, last ovening. Tha various Clubs being represented as follows:—Messrs G, Hansen and A. Nicol (Orientals), B. Gardner and Cartwright (White Stars), McKenrifl and Underbill (Rovers), Dorset and Bailey (Parkvalo). Mr Geo, Hansen chair, and it was unanimomSpesolved to form a Half. Holiday Union, all fcho delegates' Clubsboing willing to enter.
Tho entrance fee was fixed atone guinea, a trophy for the first seasoi being awarded out of the funds, and to be played for outright. The olection of officers of the new Union resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr H. B. Tucker; Presidont, MrE. M. D. Whatman•; vice-presidents, Messrs Pownall, Deller, Tancred, Cargill, Dennis, Wickens, Moore, J. Tucker, and Dr, Johnstone; Secretary, Mr H. Dorset (Parkvale). The following colors were registered by the affiliated Clubs:— Parkvale, blue and white j White Stars, blue and white star; Bovers, all blue; Orientals, black and ambor. The following were elected to form the Committee of Management, Messrs Hansen, Nicol, Dorset, McKenzie, and Gardner, It was resolved that any pjfaide Clubs wishing to join thefKion will have to submit to test matches, 1 and that a win count two points and a draw one. A resolution was passed that on any playei being hurfcincupmaohes, a levy of 6d each a week on mom' bers of both teams bo made, on tho production of a doctor's certificate, until the player has sufficiently recovered, A vote of thanks to tho chair con* eluded tho meeting. • '
