CARTERTON NEVUS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Monday, A conference between Greytown Borough Council and Taratahi-Car-terton Road Board was held at Carterton on Saturday to decide in which body the work of constructing and maintaining the proposed bridge |at Matarawa should bo vested. The Mayor of Greytown, Mr i Heagerty, was votod to the chaijAd it was unanimously carried in Wor of the Greytown Borough Council. Tho question of apportioning the proportion each body should bear in tho expense of maintenance was not decided, but a motion to bo submitted to tho Taratahi-Carterton Road Board was carried in f ayour of each body bearing equal shares,
