TAUERU NOTES.
(Prom Our Own Correspondent), Saturday, The school here had its annual examination on Wednesday and Thursday last. Mr T, R, Fleming was the Inspector and I hear the sclieol did very well, nearly all the children passing their standards, and the inspector expressing himself very pleased with the whole work and tone of the school. I was not able to obtain tlienumbors presented and passed in the various standards but the following is the list of those who passed

Pakeu, J. McKenzie. Standard lII,—L. Davy, M. Bland, A. Humphries, E. Taplin, P. Ashton, M. Anavu, W. Parsons, J. Smith, Standard lI,—M, McCalmont, M, Manning, D. Taplin, A, Taplin, W. Bland, D. Baird. Standard I,—M. Humphries, M. McHattie, A. Mulyay, C, Turner, E, Summers, A. Morgan, C. McKenzie, E. Loader, P. Wainohu, 6. Mace. \V. Baird, G, Davy. Tho picnic is to be held next Saturday when tho prizes will be distributed. _ Mr Buchanan, M.H.R., has been invited to attend and distribute the prizes.
