WELLINGTON BURGLARIES.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association). Wellington, Thursday. Since the recent burglaries tho polico are clearing the town of suspicious characters, and during the last fow days several arrests have been made on charges of vagrancy. In the S M, Court this morning two men were sentenced to one year and nine months' respectively on this charge, Owing to indentification being so difficult the police have small hopes of arresting the culprits in the burglaries committed of late, but it is suspected that most of the men arrested as vagrants were concerned in one or other of the cases.
