MASTERTON PARK OVAL.

At a meeting of the Mastei ton Park Trustees, held yesterday, tho following new regulations were adopted 1. Tlmt all Clubs practising or playing on (he Park Oval be licensed. 2. That any person practising or playins either cricket or football on the Park Oyal who is not a member of a licensed Club,shall be deemed to be a trespasser, But this regulation shall not apply to visiting teams, nor to individual visitors residing at a distance of more than live miles from Mastei ton.

3. That the license tee for every Football Club be live pouuds per season,payable in advance; for every Cricket Club two pouuds, provided that in the case of Junior Cricket Clubs, composed exclusively of lads under 1G years of age, the fee shall be one pound. But the payment of such fees shall not entitle any Club to exercise any rights in respect of (lie use of the Grand Stand. ■l. That the license fee for Cricket Clubs be due on the Ist day of October in each year and that the Cricket season terminate on the last day of March in each year. 5. That the license fee for Football Clubs be due on the Ist day of April in each year and that the Football season terminate on the last day of September in each year.

(i. That all licensed Cricket and Football Clubs shall appoint separate joint committees to take care of the Oval during the Cricket and Football seasons respectively, whose duty it shall be to protect the Grand Stand, Oyal, and fence round it from injury, and to prevent trespass by unlicensed clubs or persous. Upon these responsibilities being undertaken by the Committees, the Trustees will delegate to each joint committee the powers necessary for such control.

1. That on such days as the ParkTrustees make aud notify charges at the gates or for the grand stand, or appoint other persons to make tliem, the Oval shall bo at the sole disposal of the Part Trustees and the license given to Clubs shall on such days be inoperative. 8 That the Park Trustees may make such arrangements as they may deem necessary for the use of the running track round tho Oval by Athletic Clubs., 9. That as a guarantee to cover the cost of repairing any injury to the Oval, Grand Stand, or fence, or the removal of any debris, which may arise through the holding of any sports or gathering, the Society or Club using the Oval, shall prior to the day for holding sucii sports or gathering, lodge with the Secretary, in addition to the fee payable for the use of the Oval, a sum of £2, which upon the effecting of such repairs or the removal of such debris, by the Club or Society, to the satisfaction of the Trustees, or such person as they may appoint, shall be refunded. But failing the making of such repairs, or the removal of such debris, in the manner aforesaid within one week of the date of the holding of such sports or gathering, tlio Trustees shall use the whole or any part of such sum of £2 in carrying out the repairs, or in the remoyil of such debris. 10. That the Trustees reserve the right to refuse any application for a license.

11. That all previous regulations for letting the Oval be revoked.

12, That copies of these regulations be supplied to all Clubs in the district.
