FEATHERSTON NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent). Wednesday. The usual monthly meeting of the Town Board was held on Monday evening. Present, Commissioners Jas. Donald (chairman), J. G. Cox, A. McKenzie, H. H.Nicols, C. Cundy, W. Benton and W. Hndder, junr. The Treasurer reported theamount of overdraft as £39 6s Bd. Accounts amounting to £3218s 6d were passed for payment. J. Hawkins applied to the Board for permission to open a shooting gallery, which was granted during the Board's pleasure. It was resolved to revise the Byelaws, and tho whole Board was appointed a Committee to meet on Friday night and revise them preparatory to their being printed. The Works Committee was appointed to fix on tho site for the new fircbell.
It was resolved, that when the Board meets on Friday evening they will deal with the matter of°a piano for the Town Hall, terms having been received from the Dresden Co., Hoffman it Sons, and Reiehardt it Co.; private offers were received from Messrs A. Donald and Acheson.
