Nai'lm;, Friday, The Championship Meeting began at 2.10 p.m. The first heat of tin? 250 yards resulted as follows : Holder (Waiiganui) 1, Francis (Auckland) L', Richardson (Napier) also ran. Won easily. Time 27see. Second heat-Jones (Auckland) 1, Nathan (Wellington) 2. Smith (Ohristchnrch) also ran. Won by by two yards .tones jostled Nathan al the turn. Time 27 2-stb sees. Third heat—Broad (Christchurch) and Feasor (Napier) dead heat, Crawshaw (Duucdiu) and Ncagle (Napier) also ran. Crawshaw gave up. Time 27 2-olh sees. Half-Mile Bicycle, first heat— Pithei (Chrislehurch) 1, Pilkington (Auckland) 2, Hay ward (Christchurch) and Cowell (Napier) also ran. Won easily at finish. Time lmiu Lisecs. Second heat—Reynolds (Auckland) 1, Hall (Timaru) 2. Shorland (Christchurch) also ran. Reynolds won very easily in Imin H f-fith sees. Third heatJones (Christchurch) 1, Steadman (Otago) 2. Caughley (Napier) also ran, but fell at finish through being interfered with. Joues won by syds. Time Imin l2 2-sthsecs. At 2.-15 about 2,000 were present. In the Three Mile Walk Creamer and Brady (Auckland) led alternately, with Talbot (Wellington) the only other starter, hopelessly in the rear. At the mile mid a half thelatter gave up, the northern pair went on alone, Creamer winning by 10 yards. Time 23niin 43secs. Half Mile Flat Championship Low (Dtir.edin) 1, Stuart (Wellington) 2, Hunter (Napier) 3. Won by a dozen yards. Biirrell and Rankin (Waiiganui), Hutchison and Boere (Auckland), Gurr (Wellington), were scratched. Time 2min Usees, (standard time). Final Half Mile Bicycle.-Rey-nolds 1, Pither 2, Jones 3. Only starters. Won easily by a dozen yards. Time, lmin !> 2-5 sees which is under standard time. Final—2so yards Championship. —Broad 1, Jones 2, Nathan 3. Won by a foot, a great race, Jones a few inches in front of Nathan, Time, 271-5 sees. High Jump.—Bailey, Waiiganui, sft Sin, 1 ; Brown, Christchurch, oft 7in, 2. The others failed chiefly at oft 4iu. Five Mile Bicycle Championship. —Pither, Christchurch, 1 ; Reynolds, Auckland, 2 ; Jones, Christchurch, o. This was a great race. Won by a couple of yards, Time 13min 1 2-othsecs, Mile Flat.-Davis, Auckland, 1; Rankin, Waiiganui, 2 ; Bell, Mauawatu, 3. Won by syds, Time, 4min 40 2-sth sees. The following win their heats in the 120 hurdles and compete in the final:-Roberts, Auckland; Hurley, Christchurch ; Martin, Auckland; Moir, Christchurch. At (he finish of the mile, points for the championship were Auckland 16 ; Christchurch and Waiiganui, 8; Otago, 5 ; Wellington, Hawkcs' Bay andManawatu, 1.
