Messrs Lowes and lorns held their usual monthly stock sale at Eketaliuiui yesterday, to fairly well filled yards, and the following prices wero realised Steers, 18 months to 2 years, 50s to 70s; breeding ewes, 2a (id to 4s 6d; 2 tooth do (is (id ; rams, i Lincolns,!} toHguincas; floinnevs. 1} guineas.
Messrs Sinims and Mowlem held their usual fortnightly stock salo in the yards yesterday, and report tho entries in both sheep and cattle as (lie largest ilioy have yet had to submit. The holding capacity of ' the yards wero taxed to the utmost, and the attendance largo. Bidding under the hammer was slow, although at times a considerable amount of spirit was infused, and most lines changed hands before the close of the day. Fat owes brought & (id ; 4 and G-toolh ewes, 6s; fresh ' full mouth, Us lOd to 4s; forward 2tooth wethers, a nice even link 7s; others, 5s 3d to Gs 9d ; fat Tjp.ba, 4s 9d to Gs ; woolly lambs, 4s tu to 5s 3d ; shorn, 2s 2d to 3s Gd; culls, Is to Is 4d ; f.f m, Romncy rams, Ms; 2-tootb ditto 30s to 425; Lincolns, mixed ages, 10s to 15s; weaner pigs, small, 4s; medium, 7s ' to 8s; stores, 2Gs; horses sold from £1 to £ll Us.
