LATEST PAHIATUA NOTES.
By Telegraph—Own Correspondent. Paiiiatua, Thursday. The Oddfellows' Sports, atMangatainoka, held yesterday, were a * grand success. The principal races were:—Handicap, W, Wyetinf Danovirke, 1, Wallace 2, RendK); Hurdles, Bentley 1, Hum 2, Ponrng' 3; Jlilo Walk, lieicbenbach 1, Bainbry 2; Friendly Society's Handicap, Casliion 1; Mile Run, Coleman 1, Pike 2, Reichenbacli 3. The day was wound up with a ball,which < was also a grand success.
The Rifle Club competition yesterday resulted as follows:—G. Avery (41), won Mr C. J. Norton's trophy right out; distance, 600 yards, 10 shots. Mr D. Miller got a leg in for the bronzo medal, with 87 at the 200 and 300 yard ranges.
