MASONIC.

The installation of officers of the Masterton Masonic Lodge took place last evening, at the Lodge Room, Bannister Street, tho attendance being good, between forty and fifty brethren being presort. Amongst the visitors wore 11. W., Bro. H.

J. Williams, G.S. of the Wellington Province, and R.W, 15ro. Rov. W. Ronaldson, Grand Secretary, and representatives of the Greytown, Carterton and Ekctahuna Lodges. The following officers were installed W.M., Bro. F. H. Ibbetson; S.W., I3ro. W. Clement Cargill; J.W., Bro. W. De Lisle; Secretary, Bro. W. Sellav; Treasurer, Bro. J. A, McKonzie; S.D, Bro. E. H. Eton ; J.D., Bro. Thos. Brown ; 1.G., Bro. R. Baker; Tyler, Bro. E, S. Richards.

Tho installation oeremony was performed by R.W. Bro. Williams, and tho working tools presented by Bro. Pownall, I.P.M. The address to tho Lodge was given by R.W. Grand Secretary, Bro. Ronaldson. After tho ceremony, Bro. Ibbetson, on behalf of the members of tho Lodge, presented I.P.M. Bro. C. A. Pownall with ri handsomo Past Master's jewel, as a token of their respect and esteem, wd to mark their appreciation of tie intelligent interest be has taken in the Lodge during the two years he has held tho position of W.JI.
