COMMERCIAL.
The Annual Pair under tho auspices of the above Society was hold at their yards yesterday, and was far from being the success of former years. Only about 700 rams were yarded, and nearly half of these were passed in, and in no instance was the bidding spirited. Mr P. H. Wood sold on account of Mr D. McMasters, Lincolns (2 tooth), at from '4 to 6 guineas; numbers being passed in, which is the first time Mr McMaster has had this experience, 'i'lie quality of the rams was quite mini to previous years, Lincoln Tftms, on account of Mr W, C. Buchanan, at from 1 to 2 guineas Komuey Marsh rams, on account of Mr A. G Pilmer, at an average of 2j guineas; on account of R. A, Wakelin,2| to 3 guineas; on account of other vendors, at from { to H guineas, Southdown, on account of Mr W. C. Buchanan, at from \ to 2 guineas. Border Leicesters, on account of Mr W. McLeod, at H guineas, English Leicesters, on account of Mr P. C. Threlkeld, of Floxton, Canterbury, at an average of 2i guineas. Inferior rams of various breeds, on account of various vendors, at from 5s to 12s 6d.
