MrF. H. Woodroports as follows of the stock sale held by him at the Taratahi yards yesterday, A considerable quantity of stock of all classes was yarded, the entries of young cattlo being particularly good and far in excess of what had been advertised. The attendance of buyers was good, Bidding for sheep was dull and several were passed in, but there was good competition for cattle, all selling readily under the hammer at about last sale rates, which are quoted as under:— Sheep: Store ewes, mixed ages, 8s to 4s 6d; 2-tooth ewes, 3s 2d to 4s 7d; fat ewes, 6s to 6s 6d; do wethers, 9s. Cattle: Calves, 22sto27s6d(over a hundred selling at these prices); 18 months and 2 year old steers, 57s 6d; 3 year old do 955; heifers in calf, 60s to 80s; dairy cows, 80s to 120; dairy cows, 60s to 80s; cows and calves, 105s. Horses; Hacks aid light harness, £5 to £9 10s,
