Featherston Town Board.
Tim adjourned meeting of tho Town Board, was held on Monday eyening. Present—Commissioners Jas. Donald (Chairman), J. G. Cox, C. Candy, W. Benton, and W. H. Nichols. The minutes of the previous meeting anil special meetings, were read and confirmed. The Treasurer's statement showed tlio net overdraft to bo £56 7s 7d. Accounts amounting to £lB 3s 3d were passed for payment. It was resolved that a special meeting bo held on 23rd inst. to fix upon tlie (lay for tho half-holiday. Tho Clerk was instmclod to writo to Masterton and Carterton Borough Council, and ask them to consider which is the day best for the holiday, It was resolved to keep the dog tax the samo as at. present, Permission was granted to Mr W. Buckeridge to lay pipes from Burt's Reservoir to tho Royal Hotel. Tho pipes to be laid subject to the Works Committee's approval.
1 Tho Board then resolved itself into the Domain Board. The Treasurer's statement was read, showing the amount available £2olos 2d.
