meeting of Stewards, A meeting of the Stewards of the Mastertou-Opaki Jockey Club was hold last evening. Present: Messrs A. "W. Cave (chairman). T. Shaw.T. D. Thompson, W. loms, C, Cowper, W. Cameron, H. Yates, and the Secretary (Mr B. H. Waddington). The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. POSTING DEFAULTERS. A letter was received from the Wellington Metropolitan Club in connection with defaulters.—lt was decided to forward the list of defaulters to the Metropolitan Club, if amounts due remain unpaid a week from (late.
STARTING. After considerable discussion, it was decided -owing to objections from several horse-owners—to make 1 fresh arrangements for starting at the St, Patrick's Day meeting, FIXAXCE. The Secretary presented a rough balance-sheet of receipts and expenditure for last meeting, which, showed that the Club had a very satisfactory balauce in hand after allowing for interest, improvements to course, and providing for outstanding accounts, DOXATIOX. It was resolved to grant a donation of two guineas towards the amount being subscribed for the jockey Christie, who met with the accident at the Boxing Day mooting, sr. Patrick's day meeting. After careful consideration, the Stewards drew up the following programme for the St. Patrick's Day Meeting:—Hack Hurdles, of 30 sovs; Maiden Hack Race, of 25 sovs; St, Patrick's Handicap, of 60 sovs; Handicap Hack Race, of 35 sovs; Plying Handicap, of 45 sovs; Solling Hack Race, of 15 sovs; and Plying Hack Handicap, of 30 sovs. ACCOUNTS. After passiug accounts the meeting adjourned.
