GREYTOWN NOTES.
(from Our Own Correspondent). Tuesday, Things in general are very dull down this way. The weather is intensely warm and-rain is badly needed, The Borough Council at their meeting laßt night decided on Saturday as the half-holiday, to take effect next Saturday wcok. The Mutual Improvement and Theological Class held its first meeting in the Wesleyan Schoolroom last evening, when the Rov.S, J, Gibson delivered the opening address, after which the election of a Committee and other business was transacted. About l(i persons wore present, including several young ladies. This class promises to be both useful and instructive. A good portion of tho business community attended the Borough Council meeting last evening, to hear the discussion on the half-holi- : day question. The Fire Brigade picnic to be held in Greytown is expected.to bo a successful: affair, provided, the weather is favorabk
