Mrs Ferry, sonr., relict of the, late Mr Joseph Ferry, sawmillor, of Papawai, passed away at her residence, Papawai, early ori Monday evening. She was in her 61st year, and leaves a.:growii ;up\family of four'sons and two'daughters, threo of whom are married. She arrived'in Wellington in the year 1859, and has resided in.the Greytqwn district ever since; she was thus one of our earliest pioneers. Mrs Ferry was a respected settler, and was daughter of the late Mr JRobt. Freeman, of London,, Sko had not enjoyed the best'of health'for years'-past. The funeral took'place to-dayj and the ceremony was conducted by the ■■■i-,Ui.^Vr
