Monthly Meeting. The adjourned mooting of the Wairarapa North County Council was held yesterday. Present: Ors Von Reden (Chairman), R; Maunsell, J. Handyside, J. Stuckey, C. E. Meredith waited on the Council on behalf of several settlers in the Whareainn, asking, that part' of'iho"road 'between Cripps' Creek and Waihora Hill (about 25 chain's) be metalled. He slated that 'the settlers would do,nV they : on formor occasions, 'viz., find drays land horses if the Council would find horse feed and men. '< Resolved that Mr Kummcr be re- ; ferred to the Minister for Lands as i the Council had no authority over ' the grant. From the Commissioner of Crown Lands re expenditure of thirds on Kaiwhrila Valley Road, and Bismarck Creek Road.. 1 Resolved that the Council has no objection provided the owners agreed. Messrs Gray Bros wrote asking that done to the Fernyhurst end of the Kaiwhata Road. Resolved that the applicants bo informed that no thirds are available for this work and the Council has nothing to do with the grant, I'AH VALLEVi 1 From W.
