The Horticultural Show ou Thursday last was weak in vegetablo exhibits because the date'of it was fixed a month too soon in order to keep in with the Pastoral Society's arrangements. We do not see that it derives any particular benefit from the Pastoral Show and it would be better for it to return to its old date. Formerly the Show used to be hold about tlio end of November. And when tho Shows were held later in the. season thoy were much more successful than they now are.
