MESSRS LOWERS AND IORNS HORSE SALE.
Our monthly horse salo was held yesterday,and we never yarded stock of/better quality either in hacks, light harness or heavy tlraughts,but the demand was not up to expectation. The young ones by "Nil Desperandum' wore much admired,but failed to reach the reserves, a very superior lot of unbroken 3 and 4 year old draughts found purchasers at from £lB to £lO, The dozen light harness and unbrokeii hacks were acknowledged to be the best seen in the yards for reavs,and were worthy of much keener competition than they met with, half of them fold at from £l3 to £l7 each, the balance aro open for private sale, all particulars may be obtained from the auctioneers. Broken in draughts reached £23, ordinary hacks from £3 to £B. A few Show exhibits in cattlo and pigs sold at satisfactory prices, bullocks reaching £9, and pigs 478.
