The Gazette- contains a notice by the Railway Commissioners, that timber consigned from saw-mills to the Lower Hutt, Wellington, and injtermediato stations will bo charged [3d per hundred superficial feet less 'than classified rates, minimum chargo being 8d per 100 superficial feet. Rimu from Eketahuna,Opaki, and intermediate stations to Wellington, will be charged at 2s 6d per 100 superficial feet,
